A stainless steel smoke shelf that directs the combustion air from the air intake vents at the back of the firebox to remain in the upper part of the firebox for a longer period of time. The smoke shelf increases the product’s efficiency by 5 %, ensuring that the efficiency exceeds the >80 % efficiency required in certain regions of Italy, where the product is manufactured. It is safe to use the fireplace without the smoke shelf, and you can also safely use the fireplace with a burnt-out shelf without noticing any difference until the new one arrives.
