When using the Schiedel Permeter Smooth chimney, a set is recommended that includes an 80-129 mm adapter, a 130 mm Schiedel PMS starter piece, and a 100 mm flue connection pipe. The set is suitable for any ExtraFlame pellet stove with a top flue outlet. The 100 cm pipe is shortened to a length where the wide part of the adapter remains 20 mm higher than the top of the pellet stove. The Schiedel starter piece is shortened to 30 mm so that the sliding collar ordered with the chimney covers as much of the adapters as possible.

If there is a wall made of combustible material near the fireplace, ceramic wool must be wrapped around the adapter, and the wool must be covered with a slip collar in order to meet the requirements of the fire authorities.
